Baby Blake: Week 1

Well, we made it one week. Blake had lots of "firsts" in just this week: first trip to the doctor, first bath, and first car ride. We had a bit of a scare earlier in the week as Blake lost more than 10 % of his birth weight. Turns out he was not getting enough milk from momma, but we solved the issue with supplementing with a small amount of formula. His weight was back up by the end of the week, and his cheeks are already filling out and are quite chubby! Blake was very lucky this first week to have BOTH of his grandmother's here waiting on him hand and foot. Mimi (Grandma Anderson) took on the day shift, while Memaw (Grandma Betsy) was here for the night shift. They were so helpful and supportive, and I don't know how I would have gotten through that first sleep deprived week without them. I don't know how anyone does it without a Mimi and a Memaw!
